Take you to understand the Rolls-Royce "Starlight Headliner"

Origin: Breaking Through the Imagination and Opening Up New Horizons of Beauty

A car owner, who is extremely sensitive to light, considers the light of the starry sky at night in the countryside as a treasure, and wishes to enjoy this soft light inside the car. It took the Rolls-Royce couture team several years to bring the starry skies of Goodwood to the interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom in 2007! The birth of the Starlight Headliner opened a new chapter in Rolls-Royce aesthetics.

Production: Ingenious combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology

Just as there are no two identical leaves in the world, every Rolls-Royce car with a starlight headliner is unique. In the customization process, these "stars" usually take 9 hours to create, but personalized patterns require customers' exclusive templates, which take more than 17 hours to complete.
First, 800-1600 holes are drilled from the roof, each of which needs to be carefully designed, and then the optical fiber is installed in these holes, ensuring that the optical fiber has the correct height on the hidden side; finally, it is tightly installed into the visible leather surface so that the "stars" can be ready to shine at any time.
The unique effect of the starlight ceiling is achieved by installing exquisite optical fibers at different depths and angles, so that light is emitted from multiple directions and at different intensities. The brightness of the "stars" can be adjusted to create the atmosphere desired by the customer: providing sufficient brightness for relaxation and reading, or creating a beautiful, gentle soft light through elegant optical fibers.

Let us look back at the classic masterpieces of Goodwood's "starlight ceiling" and witness the development of this unique craft.
