Rolls-Royce launches the glittering Black Badge Cullinan "Phantom Blue Shadow" exclusive custom collector's edition model, designed to explore the beauty and mystery of space. To present this unique work, industry-leading Rolls-Royce designers drew inspiration from the Karman Line, an invisible boundary 62 miles from the surface, regarded as the end of the earth's atmosphere and the beginning of outer space.
Rolls-Royce takes its legendary Starlight Headliner to a new level with the Phantom Blue Shadow: a moon pattern embroidered intricately and surrounded by stars, giving passengers the feeling of being at the edge of space. The moon pattern is embroidered using five colors of embroidery thread, each thread is embroidered in a different way, creating a different texture, perfectly recreating the cratered lunar surface in three dimensions. The entire embroidery work is embroidered with 250,000 stitches, a process that takes two days.
The Starlight Headliner creates a soft glow and a magical atmosphere in the car. A total of 1,183 "stars" are distributed on it. 799 of them are white and 384 are blue. The leather headliner is like a canvas, and each "star" is positioned, punched, arranged and installed by hand.
